Canonical vendor mapping
Raw ERP names like "AWS - East" or "Amazon Web Services Inc" resolve to a single canonical vendor profile. Spend rolls up correctly regardless of how the vendor was entered in your books, so every event and your exposure reflect the real relationship behind the name.

Strict logical separation per client
Every client's data is isolated at the application layer. A routing table in the common database ensures no cross-contamination between accounts. When a client requires a dedicated database instance, the routing layer points to a separate instance without any product changes.
